SpaGuard Spa Sentry is intended for chlorine spas and should be used after draining, cleaning, and refilling the spa. Before use, clean spa surfaces, clean the filter, refill with fresh water, and keep the spa water circulating during application.
Do not use SpaGuard Spa Sentry in spas with plaster finishes, tile-surface spas, or grouting that contains calcium. Retail product information also states that it should not be used in Soft Soak spas. If fill-water calcium hardness is greater than 300 ppm, consult a BioGuard dealer before using this product.
The spa heater should be turned off before adding Spa Sentry and should remain off until any cloudiness has cleared through filtration. If clouding occurs after application, circulate for 24 hours, then clean or rinse the filters to remove calcium collected by the filtration system.
