Home Saunas for Every Space and Every Ritual
Bring the daily heat ritual home. Our collection of Icelandic saunas includes 1- to 5-person infrared saunas, classic traditional rock saunas, dual-heat hybrid saunas and weather-ready outdoor saunas. They are built with premium woods like Canadian Hemlock and Thermo Aspen and come loaded with features like red light therapy, Himalayan salt, chromotherapy lighting and Bluetooth audio.
Whether you want a compact infrared sauna for a spare room or a 5-person backyard retreat, there is an Icelandic sauna sized for your space, your electrical service and the way you like to unwind.
Which type of home sauna is right for me?
Choose an infrared sauna if you want gentler heat, quick warm-up and easy 120V installation in most models. Choose a traditional sauna if you love high heat and steam from water on hot rocks. Choose a hybrid sauna if you want both options in one cabin. Choose an outdoor sauna if you want a dedicated backyard retreat with a waterproof roof.
Infrared Saunas: Gentle, Deep Warmth at Home
Infrared saunas warm your body directly with infrared panels rather than heating all of the air, so sessions feel comfortable at lower air temperatures. That makes them a favorite for daily relaxation and post-workout recovery routines.
Icelandic infrared models range from the 1-person Valo 410 to the 4-person Himalayan 630. Choose low EMF carbon heat, full spectrum heat, red light therapy or Himalayan salt features. Four of the five models run on 120V / 15 Amp power.
Traditional Indoor Saunas: Classic Rock Heat and Steam
Nothing replaces the feel of a traditional sauna: hot stones, high heat and a wave of steam when you ladle water over the rocks. The Icelandic TimberSteel series pairs that authentic ritual with a modern aluminum frame, Canadian Hemlock walls and Thermo Aspen benches.
Each TimberSteel sauna includes a bucket and ladle, thermo-hygrometer and sand timer. Upgrades include red light therapy, Himalayan salt, 7-color LED lighting and, on the 430 and 450, WiFi controls.
Hybrid Saunas: Infrared and Traditional Heat in One
Can’t decide between infrared and traditional? The Icelandic Fusion Combo hybrid saunas combine a traditional rock heater with full spectrum infrared panels, each with its own controls. Use high heat and steam when you want an intense session, or switch to infrared for a gentler, longer soak in the warmth.
A heat-radiating slate wall, red light therapy, 7-color LED lighting and Bluetooth speakers round out a premium, spa-level experience.
Outdoor Saunas: A Backyard Retreat
Turn a patio, deck or lakeside view into your own Nordic wellness retreat. Icelandic outdoor saunas are built for the elements with a full one-piece waterproof roof system. The Reyk models add exterior aluminum cladding, and the Husavik 520 uses naturally durable Thermo Spruce.
Every outdoor model uses a traditional rock heater, and all three include the classic sauna accessories: stones, a bucket and scoop, a sand timer and a thermo-hygrometer.

How to Choose the Right Home Sauna
- Pick your heat. Infrared for gentle warmth, traditional for high heat and steam, hybrid for both.
- Count your people. Icelandic saunas seat 1, 2, 2–3, 3, 4 or 5 people. Size up if you plan to stretch out or share sessions.
- Measure your space. Check the footprint and the height (78″–87″), and leave room for airflow and door swing.
- Check your power. 120V models are the simplest to install. 240V models need a dedicated circuit from a licensed electrician.
- Choose your extras. Red light therapy, Himalayan salt, chromotherapy, WiFi controls and Bluetooth audio vary by model.

Home Sauna FAQs
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
A traditional sauna uses an electric heater and hot stones to warm the air, typically to about 150–195°F, and you can ladle water over the rocks for steam. An infrared sauna uses infrared panels to warm your body more directly at lower air temperatures, typically about 100–150°F, which many people find easier to tolerate for longer sessions. A hybrid sauna, like the Icelandic Fusion Combo, gives you both in one cabin.
Which home saunas plug into a standard outlet?
The Icelandic Valo 410, Valo 420, Aura 620 and Himalayan 620 infrared saunas are rated for 120V / 15 Amp, and the TimberSteel 420 traditional sauna is rated for 120V / 20 Amp. The Fusion Combo 720 uses two 120V circuits, one for each heater. A dedicated circuit is still recommended, so confirm your electrical setup with a licensed electrician before installation.
Which saunas need a 240V circuit?
The Himalayan 630, TimberSteel 430, TimberSteel 450, Fusion Combo 830, Husavik 520, Reyk 520 and Reyk 550 all require 240V service. Larger traditional heaters, such as the 9kW heaters in the TimberSteel 450 and Reyk 550, draw up to 37.5 Amps and should be installed by a licensed electrician.
How much space do I need for a home sauna?
The smallest Icelandic sauna, the 1-person Valo 410, has a 39″ × 39″ footprint. Two-person models range from about 39″ × 47″ up to 63″ × 63″, and five-person models measure up to 64″ × 84″. Allow a few extra inches around the cabin for airflow, door swing and electrical access, and check the height for indoor installs; most models are 78″–80″ tall and the Husavik 520 is 87″.
Can I put an outdoor sauna in my backyard?
Yes. The Husavik 520, Reyk 520 and Reyk 550 are traditional outdoor saunas with full one-piece waterproof roof systems. Place them on a level, stable base such as a concrete pad or sturdy deck, and plan a 240V electrical run to the location.
What is a hybrid sauna?
A hybrid sauna combines a traditional rock heater and infrared heating in the same cabin. The Icelandic Fusion Combo 720 and 830 let you enjoy high-heat, steam-friendly rock sauna sessions on some days and gentler full spectrum infrared sessions on others, with separate controls for each heat source.
What wood are Icelandic saunas made from?
Most Icelandic indoor and infrared models are built with Canadian Hemlock. The TimberSteel, Fusion Combo and Reyk models add an aluminum frame or cladding with Thermo Aspen benches and accents, and the Husavik 520 is built from Thermo Spruce with Thermo Aspen components.
What warranty do Icelandic saunas include?
Many Icelandic models, including the Valo, Aura, Himalayan, TimberSteel 430, Fusion Combo 830 and Reyk lines, list a 5-year warranty on the electric heater, wood cabinet and controls. Check each model’s product page for its specific warranty details.
