How to Use
- Prepare the spa: For a new or recently drained spa, clean surfaces, clean the filter, balance calcium hardness and total alkalinity, treat for metals if present, and adjust pH to 7.2–7.8.
- Start up: With circulation on, add 7.5 g (1½ tsp) per 300 gallons directly to the spa. Test after 15 minutes and repeat until bromine reaches 2–4 ppm.
- Shock regularly: With circulation on, add 30 g (6 tsp) per 300 gallons to remove non-filterable wastes and keep water clear.
- Test before soaking: Do not enter the spa if bromine is above 8 ppm. Test regularly and keep cyanuric acid at or below 100 ppm.
- Cover and drain: Keep outdoor spas covered when not in use, and drain every 30–90 days, more often with heavy use.
