Description
BioGuard Remedy Erase Iron Stain Remover - 1.75 lb
BioGuard Remedy Erase Iron Stain Remover is a specialized pool stain remover designed to lift iron-based stains and discoloration from pool surfaces. This granular formula helps restore the appearance of vinyl, fiberglass, plaster, and tile pool surfaces by targeting stains caused by iron in pool water.
Targeted Treatment for Iron Pool Stains
Metal stains can leave pool surfaces looking discolored, dull, or aged even when the water is otherwise balanced. BioGuard Erase helps treat iron staining by making the stain soluble again so it can be lifted from the surface and removed from the water through proper follow-up filtration and metal-control steps.
This product is especially useful for treating visible iron stains, localized surface discoloration, and cobalt staining on fiberglass pools. It can be applied around the pool edges or used as a spot treatment when staining is concentrated in one specific area.
Why Pool Owners Use BioGuard Erase
Removes Iron Stains from Pool Surfaces
BioGuard Erase is formulated specifically to remove stains and discoloration caused by iron. It helps restore the look of stained pool surfaces without requiring draining or resurfacing in many cases.
Compatible with Multiple Pool Surface Types
This product can be used on vinyl, fiberglass, plaster, and tile pool surfaces when applied according to label directions.
Can Be Used as a Spot Treatment
If staining is limited to one area, BioGuard Erase can be applied directly to the affected area. This makes it helpful for treating localized discoloration, step stains, wall stains, or targeted metal stain problems.
Helps Lift Cobalt Stains on Fiberglass Pools
In addition to iron stain removal, BioGuard Erase can also be used to help lift cobalt stains in fiberglass pools.
Supports a Complete Metal Stain Removal Process
For best results, BioGuard Erase should be followed with a metal-control product and proper filtration support to help keep dissolved metals from re-staining the pool surface.

Compatibility and Requirements
BioGuard Erase is made for use in swimming pools with vinyl, fiberglass, plaster, or tile surfaces. Before applying, turn off and isolate the pool heater from the circulation system if the pool has one. Do not use BioGuard stain remover products in pools where the heater cannot be isolated.
Water balance is important before treatment. Adjust pH to 7.0 to 7.4, total alkalinity to 125 to 150 ppm, or 80 to 150 ppm for pools with a chlorine generator, and calcium hardness to less than 400 ppm. Chlorine or bromine residual should be reduced to less than 1 ppm before treatment.
Do not add shock during the stain removal process, and do not apply a shock product for 4 days after the key treatment and filtration steps are completed, because shocking too soon may cause re-staining.
