Description
The Chlorine-Free Shock That Keeps BAQUACIL Water Clear
BAQUACIL® Swimming Pool Oxidizer is Step 2 of the BAQUACIL® CDX® System. This chlorine-free liquid oxidizer, made with specially stabilized hydrogen peroxide, clarifies pool water by breaking down swimmer waste and other contaminants that the sanitizer does not remove.
A weekly quart per 10,000 gallons keeps water sparkling, and the same gallon jug is used at start-up and to neutralize chlorine when you convert to BAQUACIL.
Removes What Sanitizer Leaves Behind
Sweat, oils, lotions and other organic waste build up in every pool. BAQUACIL Oxidizer breaks those contaminants down so water stays clear and fresh instead of turning dull or cloudy.
It is the BAQUACIL answer to shocking, with no chlorine involved.
Simple Weekly Dosing
Add 1 quart per 10,000 gallons each week, poured into the pool in front of the skimmer with the pump running.
Follow it right away with BAQUACIL CDX, which is designed to keep an oxidizer residual in the water between doses.
Essential for Start-Up and Conversion
At pool opening, add ½ gallon per 5,000 gallons (1 gallon per 10,000). When converting from chlorine, 1 gallon per 10,000 gallons neutralizes the remaining chlorine before you add BAQUACIL Sanitizer.

How to Use
- Run the pump: Make sure the filter is running before you add anything.
- Pour in front of the skimmer: Add 1 quart per 10,000 gallons weekly, poured into the pool directly in front of the skimmer. Do not pour it into the skimmer.
- Add CDX immediately: Follow right away with BAQUACIL CDX through the skimmer. Never mix the two products together.
- Test the oxidizer: Check the oxidizer pad on BAQUACIL 4-Way Test Strips and add more oxidizer if the label calls for it.
- Watch for zero readings: If the oxidizer reads 0 for two weeks in a row, chemically clean the filter and check with a BAQUACIL dealer.
Important Compatibility and Safety Notes
For BAQUACIL Pools Only
Use only in pools sanitized with BAQUACIL Sanitizer and Algistat. Do not mix it with BAQUACIL CDX or any other chemical before adding to the pool. It is not a substitute for the sanitizer.
Safety First
Danger: strong oxidizer and corrosive. Causes eye damage and skin burns. Wear goggles and rubber gloves, avoid breathing mist, and wash thoroughly after handling. Keep away from combustible materials and heat. The cap is vented: always store the jug upright in a cool, shaded place, and triple-rinse the empty container. Emergency line: 1-800-654-6911. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and always read and follow the full label directions and precautions.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much BAQUACIL Oxidizer do I add per week?
Add 1 quart per 10,000 gallons each week. At start-up, use 1 gallon per 10,000 gallons.
Is BAQUACIL Oxidizer the same as shock?
It is the chlorine-free shock step for BAQUACIL pools. It oxidizes swimmer waste using stabilized hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine.
Can I use regular pool shock instead?
No. Chlorine shock is not compatible with BAQUACIL Sanitizer. Use BAQUACIL Oxidizer.
Where do I pour the oxidizer?
Into the pool directly in front of the skimmer with the pump running, never into the skimmer itself.
Why does my oxidizer always test zero?
Two weeks at zero often points to a dirty filter or contaminant demand. Chemically clean the filter and keep adding CDX after each oxidizer dose.
Why is the cap vented?
Hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen as it ages. The vented cap lets that gas escape, so keep the jug upright.
